The mom suspects girly might be trying to kill her

First of all... an addendum to yesterday's blog - we were in our sleeping satchels, the moon was bright, the sky was clear. An hour later we were wakened by a loud rainstorm. But no, it was the campsite sprinkler system! Fortunately it did not get our clothes that we had out drying

Today we left Plymouth and headed for the grocery store. Another beautiful day. I'm starting to worry about the mom because as she was checking out with her items I overheard the following conversation:
Cashier: Two bananas...
The mom: Excuse me, did you just call those gorillas?
Cashier: Uhhh, no I called them bananas.
The mom: Oh, I thought you called them gorillas because bananas, monkeys, gorillas....(nervously begins trailing off)

Let it be known from now on bananas will be known as gorillas in this blog.

We had a nice ride into Walla Walla, where we needed to stop and get a new bike frame pump (an entirely different story), before continuing to Waitsburg. The final 10 miles to Waitsburg were torture. Nearly all uphill on tired legs and bodies. It was totally worth it though because Syd's mom's house is nestled in this beautiful valley. We even saw deer in their field! A picture of their house is located below. 82 miles in all.

Tomorrow we are heading to Clarkston, but realize that if the legs are too tired we might need to camp. We have strong motivation to make it to Clarkston - a hotel and Greys Anatomy.
